Heat Vs Pistons Postgame







The Miami Heat took on the Detroit Pistons without the help of Dwyane Wade who was suffering from knee soreness . The Heat were slow offensively throughout the 1st quarter,as they finished down 10 points 18-28.Miami's highest scorer of the quarter was Michael Beasley with 5 points.Offense wasn't as much of an issue for the Heat in the second quarter,but their defense was lacking.With 9:30 left in the 2nd period the Pistons opened a 18 point lead 36-18.Lebron finished the half with 16 points while Michael Beasley finished 
with 10 first half points.Miami was down 11 points 43-54 going into halftime.Miami tried to get back into the game during the 3rd quarter,but they couldn't seem to catch up in a major way.The Heat tried to stop the Pistons with their defense but they were only able to lower the deficit to 12 points, which they accomplished multiple times in the quarter.Miami finished the 3rd down 14 points 68-82.During the first 2:55 in the final quarter
the Heat went on a 7-0 run, to get within 9 points 76-85. From the beginning of the 4th quarter to 6:45 left in the game the Miami Heat outscored the Pistons 20-6.From 6:17 to 4:08 Miami had failed   to tie the game as they misfired on multiple opportunities.The Heat were outscored 9-16 to close out the game.The Detroit Pistons sealed the 10 point 107-97 victory,which gave them their first win over a team that's over .500.Miami went down to 14-4 while the Pistons improved to 8-10.The Heat were completly  outplayed on both sides of the court from the tip.Many things contributed to Miami's 10 point as they turnover the ball 18 times leading to 29 Pistons points,their offense was dull and their defense was slow and unaggressive.
