Miami Heat @ Oklahoma City Thunder Post-game

In the first 1:19 of the 1st quarter the Thunder went up 4-0 after two careless turnovers by Mario Chalmers and LeBron James. It looked like maybe the Heat were going to have a slow start to the game, but that completely changed after that 1:19 stretch. From the 10:41 mark of the period to 8:49 left in the quarter LeBron put on a show scoring the first 12 points for the Heat, displaying an arsenal of offensive moves. LeBron was dunking, knocking down jumpers, made a runner in the lane, and he did some work down low on Kevin Durant. James insane 12-point spurt was ended, as Wade became the second heat player to score as he recorded a dunk with 7:29. James was 7-for-8 (14 points) in the game's first five minutes, while Kevin Durant went scoreless six and a half minutes into the game. LeBron finished the quarter with 16 points; Dwyane Wade added 8 efficient points in the opening quarter while Chris Bosh added 6 points. The Miami Heat finished the quarter with a 17-point lead 34-17, mainly due to the 92.9% shooting (13-for-14) the Heat had over the first eight minutes. In the first 15 seconds of the 2nd quarter the Heat opened their lead to 19 points, 36-17. The Thunder outscored Miami by ten points 30-20 in the second quarter, as they cut the 19-point Heat lead down to seven points at halftime. LeBron, Wade, and Bosh combined for 43 of Miami’s 54 first half points (James: 21 points, Wade: 14 points, Bosh: 7 points). In the first 4:19 of the second half the Heat went on a key 16-4 run to increase their lead to 19 points 70-51. OKC closed the gap to eleven points by the end of the third period, as they closed the quarter on a 14-6 run. LeBron scored 8 additional points for 31 points through three quarters while Wade and Bosh combined for 29 points through the same span of time (Wade: 18 points, Bosh: 11 points). Through the first six minutes of the 4th quarter the Heat went on a 14-9 run, fueled by 7 points by Bosh and 4 points by Wade to push the lead to 74-90.
With 5:56 left in the game Lebron was miss matched with the slower Serge Ibaka, James then attacked the paint blowing past Westbrook, as LeBron had a clear way to the rim Ibaka attempted to contest the dunk. Ibaka slammed his hand on the bridge of Lebron's nose as he connected on the dunk,James then fell to the ground hard and was noticeably dazed and in discomfort. Erik Spoelstra, heat players and head trainers came to Lebron's side as their were drops of blood on the "N" of Thunder on the hardwood. James went into the locker room covering his bloody nose with a towel, he didn't return to the court for the conclusion of the game.

Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade closed out the game for the Heat in the final six minutes of the final quarter, as they scored 10 out of 13 Heat points in that span of time. The final score was 103-81, the Heat improved to 39-14 coming within 1.5 games of the Pacers, while the Thunder dropped to 43-13.Wade finished the game with 24 points, 10 assists, 7 rebounds, Bosh scored 24 points, and added 3 assists and 8 rebounds, LeBron scored 33 points, and recored 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Miami forced 18 turnovers on the Thunder, and the 3-point shots the Thunder were splashing down in Miami(16-27) were defended  well by the Heat as they finished 2 for 20 from beyond the arc.
