11-15-13 Heat Vs Mavericks Postgame


 



The Miami Heat were great offensively throughout the game but had trouble on defense early in the 1st quarter. Miami was down most of the 1st quarter,until they gained a lead 26-25 with 2:16 left in the period.The Heat finished the quarter down 1 point 31-32.During the first 3 minutes of the 2nd quarter the game was back and forth until Miami starting forming a larger lead. Miami earned a 11 point lead after an alley-op dunk by Wade from Lebron with 1:14 left in the half.Lebron had a solid 18 point first half while Dwayne Wade scored a descent 13 points.The Heat went into halftime up 9 points 60-51. With 10:16 in the third quarter the Heat got the lead up to 13 points 66-53. With 3:20 left in the quarter the Mavericks regained the lead up 2 points 72-70.Miami ended the quarter on a 16-6 point run, going up 10 points 86-76.After a made jumper with 2:31 left in the game by Dirk Nowitzki the Heat were only up by 1 point 100-99.Although Dallas fought back into the game,Miami closed out the game on a 10-5 point run receiving the win.Lebron James finished the game with an impressive 39 points on 14-18 shooting,marking the highest points he has scored on the  fewest amount of field goal attempts.Lebron's twenty-one 2nd half points helped lead Miami victorious.Miami played good distruptive defense as they forced 24 turnovers on Dallas and had a franchise second best 19 steals.Dwayne Wade scored 17 points and had an career best 8 steals releasing his inner defensive beast.
